Hambridge Cycles – “Doing it right since 2013”
After many years as Rule 5 Bikes I have made the decision to change my business name to Hambridge Cycles. As a skilled mechanic it made sense for me to incorporate my name into my business. I have sixteen years of experience in the bicycle industry which includes ten years of running my own service workshop. I have always been known for my expertise with drop handlebar bikes, gleaned from care of many Mitre riders and racers bike. As well as in depth work with Mason and Reilly Cycleworks. In the last three years my skillset has grown to include servicing of suspension, dropper posts and hydraulic braking systems. I continue to custom build, repair and service wheels. Brands I stock, supply and service include but not limited to… Shimano (Di2), Campagnolo, Sram (AXS), Hope, Burgtec, Rockshox, Fox, Marzocchi, OneUp, Bike Yoke, DVO, DT Swiss, Mavic, Thomson, FSA, X-Fusion, TRP
Open Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm – by appointment. Preferential rate available for Mitre members, please provide membership details or race license.

At the Bike Tailor we work tirelessly to provide the best possible service, centred around your individual needs as a cyclist, whether those needs are improved comfort, performance, individuality, or simply a business which will listen to you and provide reliable, trustworthy answers.
From our luxurious, state-of-the-art studio in Stanmer House, we offer bike fitting using the latest 3D motion-capture and pressure sensing technology. Whether you’re looking to get set up on an existing bike or to build a complete custom fitted bike, we have you covered. For those looking for a competitive edge we also offer aerodynamic testing at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub wind tunnel.
To back all of this up, we also have a fully-equipped workshop in the heart of Stanmer Park, run buy our Cytech Level 3 mechanic – a 20-year veteran on the tools. We specialise in electronic drivetrain diagnostics and repair (including eTap, Di2, and EPS), tubeless setup, internal routing systems, and much more!
We would like to offer Mitre members something special to recognise that club cycling is still such an important part of the sport. Therefore, in partnership with Stanmer Tea Rooms, we would like to offer 15% off teas and coffee to those who arrive wearing their Mitre gear. If that wasn’t enough, we would also be pleased to offer 10% off our Silver, Gold and Platinum services to club members (max. 2 services per year).

David started building wheels under the name DCR in 2009 in his own flat in Hove. In 2012 he moved to a small workshop in a co-operative near Lewes, and in 2014 he moved to a dedicated unit on the same site, where DCR Wheels has since grown healthily to six members of staff, stocking one of the largest ranges of rims, hubs and spokes available. The friendly personality still remains, however and alongside building new wheels the workshop DCR also offers repairs, bearing replacements and retruing. They also supply their components and wheels to the trade, including many good bike shops in Brighton; likely to your local bike shop. Together David and the staff possess a wealth of knowledge about building wheels – if they don’t know it, it’s not worth knowing.
Discounts are available for Brighton Mitre club members, please mention it when enquiring.
